I’m not sure if you know but I started my career as a criminal lawyer. My first child was born in 2007. It was a huge change in my life…to my surprise, it only took me a few minutes from delivering her to realize how much work goes into being a mom!
After 17 months, my second baby arrived.
I used to work around the clock. I would visit my clients at jail, show up at court every day, and spend all day long in my office.
16 months ago, my third child was born!
This is the time I decided to make a huge change in my career. I opened Piconbrick!!! This idea was born because I thought that I didn’t have enough pictures of my children! I’ve been taking photos with my iPhone, but they just stay there…For this reason, I thought that the idea of having photos on wood would not only be an awesome way to showcase my family, but it also enters a new style into my home!

“A Super Mom is one who is willing to reject the societal expectations of modern family life to create an environment that is most healthy for herself, her husband, and her children” @kevinathompson.

While that may sound nice, it definitely isn’t easy. As a mom of three kids who runs her own business from a far, let me give you some advice on how to run YOUR business and still be a badass multitasking Super- Mom!

  • Take care of yourself!!!

When you take care of yourself, you’ll have more energy to take care of others.

This means…

  • SLEEP. It’s important to wake up before your children, but it’s also important to go to sleep early. Energy is key to a productive day.
  • EAT A HEALTHY BREAKFAST. Put healthy fuel in your body! If you eat good, you’ll feel good.
  • EXERCISE.When you exercise, endorphins are released into your brain, causing you to wake up, feel powerful, and be happy.

2) Stay Tidy

  • Keep a clean home. A clean home is a happy home! There is something that a clutter does to the brain. I know that when my house is a mess, the mess accumulates to a point where I get to stressed to clean it. I learned the hard way that by cleaning up after everything I do, I feel a sign of relief and happiness when I come home after a long day of work.
  • Make Lists. As a mom, I have so much going on that if I don’t create a list, there’s no doubt in my mind that my kids won’t have lunch packed for the next day. A simple pen and piece of paper can save you from so many thoughtless little errors.
  • Organize your schedule. I like to use an app on my phone for all of my scheduling. There are hundreds of options in the app store that enable you to keep your calendar together. I like using an app because I always have my phone on me, and I can share it between my husband and I. I never miss a meeting or a doctor’s appointment anyone!

3) As a mom…

  • THINK —> ACT. It’s easy to seem like an irrational parent after a long day. To avoid that, take a deep breath and cool down before responding to a situation. It is important to respond rather than react to any behavior.
  • Take Your Kids Out of the House. By walking to a park, going to the mall, or swimming at the pool, everyone can be happy and feel like they’re having a special day with their family.
  • Family Dinner. There’s no such thing as not having enough time to have a home-cooked family meal at least once a week. Fridays are a day for me and my kids to look forward to every week because they know that no matter how busy I may be during the week days, Friday evening are our time.

Lastly, “A Super Mom is one who is willing to reject the societal expectations of modern family life to create an environment that is most healthy for herself, her husband, and her children” @kevinathompson. If I could do it as both a lawyer and a business owner, you can too!
